I am Alberto Chavarría Lazo, a seasoned interpreter specializing in English and Spanish, navigating the intricate nuances of language to connect people and ideas. My educational journey began at Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra High School, where I honed foundational skills in math and English, setting the stage for my linguistic endeavors.

Furthering my academic pursuits, I attended the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua, where I studied English media education and became a proficient professor. I also earned a degree in Education Sciences and Humanities, deepening my understanding of pedagogy and societal dynamics. Additionally, I obtained certification as an Accountant Technician from the National Technologic Institute, broadening my skill set beyond language.

My professional journey began at the Ministry of Education (MINED), where I served as an English teacher, helping high school students develop effective communication skills. At Step by Step Bilingual School, I took on the role of a primary school English teacher, imparting language skills to preschoolers with enthusiasm and dedication. Concurrently, I ventured into interpretation, facilitating communication in diverse settings, from cultural events to medical appointments.

Working with LanguageLink and OWGS further refined my interpretative skills, specializing in social security and medical calls.

 

As a Spanish interpreter, I adeptly navigated complex dialogues, ensuring clarity and accuracy in every interaction. Currently, with GIN & TransPerfect, I continue to lend my expertise to medical, social, and human services calls, fostering understanding and empathy across linguistic boundaries.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I am a passionate musician, skilled in composing scores and arrangements that resonate with audiences. My interests also extend to 3D design with SketchUp, Excel for macros and functions, and video editing and production, reflecting my diverse talents.
